I would not recommend this group. I have changed practices.
Dr. Long saw my daughter for possible ear/sinus infection. He could not get a clear view of her ear drum and manually fished some wax out to get a better view. He still couldn't see it so he asked the nurse to flush it. At this ponit my daughter was screaming in pain. When she blew her nose the tissue was filled with green snot. I asked him to look at it his response was well she hasn't complained of facial pain and my rebuttal was of course she won't you just dug in her ear she thinks your going to do more. He then proceeded to tell me that I had two options 1st was we could hold my 5yo down and it will hurt her for a few minutes or we can go home and she'll be in pain for a few days. But without a clear view of her ears he can't do anything. I argued that I didn't believe there was anything wrong with her ears that I thought it to be sinus related. He said there was nothing he could do and sent me on my way. That was our third time in to see him in 1 week. They are very good about billing insurance for each office visit. If he had bothered to swab her the first time he would have ascertained that she did in fact have a sinus infection. Needless to say we went to another practice and they did just that, started her on an antibiotic and she was feeling better after 24hrs.
Been seeing Dr. Detoria since my daughter was born (12 years) absolutely love her along with all of the staff!!
The staff is all so friendly and nice. Barley any wait time at all. My kids always have a great experience! When we first started going to CHA we had just moved to the area and my son needed a physical before school last minute. They were able to figure out a way for him to be seen just in time for school. They have a clean facility and the waiting area is nice. I highly recommend them.
My daughter is 7 years old, and has had Dr. Bream in this office since she was born. I have never had any large problems with this office, until yesterday at my daughter's yearly physical. Dr. Bream told her "if you gain this much weight again next year, you aren't going to like the way you look and people will start calling you fat". TO A 7 YEAR OLD. I was in shock in the moment and couldn't process fast enough to say anything to him. However, this is how children end up with eating disorders. Today, my daughter asked me if she looked fat. She is nowhere close to fat, btw. Devastating to her self esteem, and I am not impressed.
Everytime I come for an appointment I ha e to 45 monutes after pur scheduled time before we are seen. I called and spoke with a nurse regarding an issue with mu son's medication and was told his doctor would return my call when she got back from vacation but I never got a call. When I called the office jalf the nots from that phone call were missing.
