As to the school itself, the administration is poor. I have had numerous problems mostly having to do with their failure to notify me of changing class schedules. Sometimes they fail to notify me that a class is actually starting so that I missed lessons. They have also failed to notify me in a timely manner when classes are cancelled. Email notifications less than an hour before the class are not adequate.

We returned to Pakachoag Music School for music lessons when my daughter was in high school, mostly because we remembered the great atmosphere of learning and encouragement. The school fostered both of my children in their passion for music, and I am grateful!

My son has been in the Suzuki program for three years in Las Vegas Nevada. After moving to Worchester we thought there would be a level of professionalism with any school practicing the Suzuki method ! The school has you pay upfront before you learn how poor their private teachers are equipped . My sons new teacher at the school was apalled that he knew how to read music and actually erased notes from his Suzuki book that were placed there from his previous teacher . Then the school forced him to leave group lessons because they couldn't get paid both ways. If you want your child to have to pull the bow for years before being given an arrow this is the perfect school for you.

Pakachoag Music School is a wonderfully supportive and professional school that fosters growth in the musical arts. The instructors are highly competant and have such passion, going above and beyond always. I highly recommend this school.

I first experienced Pakachoag Music School as a mom with a toddler. I have very fond memories of going to Music Together classes with my son, and learned that he had great rhythm when he picked up a drum. He's now in college and has continued as a percussionist in many settings.

Our Music Together instructor, Allison Snyder is wonderful. Our twins have been attending her classes since they were six months old. Miss Allison, as we call her, cares deeply about every child's musical education and that has kept me coming back semester after semester.

This school is terrible !

The Pakachoag Suzuki Violin Program is nothing less than amazing! My 9 year old daughter has been part of this program for 3 years, having come from an earlier private school Suzuki program in Worcester. The professionalism and masterful pedagogy of the Pakachoag Suzuki teachers is top rate. The violin private lessons are rigorous; there are expectations for proper posture, technique and student preparedness. The Pakachoag Suzuki curriculum is comprehensive and provides note reading with each private lesson using a revered instruction guide, "Step By Step," created by the program coordinator. The teachers provide a nurturing and engaging methodology that makes learning the violin FUN! Our daughter, through the many extra violin group classes, has worked closely with four teachers from the Suzuki staff - and each teacher is knowledgable and committed. The group classes allow the students to share their music together and to learn from each other. There is an expectation that all group participants come prepared and willing to participate, and we are grateful that there is a standard of behavior required in these classes. The recital and outside performance opportunities provided for the students are impressive. Already, my daughter has performed with the Pakachoag Suzuki students at Mechanics Hall, Sturbridge Village, and UMASS Hospital. She has participated in the Boston Suzuki Festival (held at the New England Conservatory) and The Brian Wicklund Fiddle Festival (Newton, MA), at the behest of her Suzuki teachers. What makes the Pakachoag Suzuki program unique is the talent, knowledge and dedication of the teachers. We couldn't be happier with this program - and our daughter's progress and love for the violin is all the proof we need!
